Henry Reece was born August, 1973 in Prince Rupert, to parents Sidney and Ruth Reece. He grew up in Hartley Bay for the duration of his childhood. He took interest in carving and designing by the age of twenty, when he went to Ksan carving school in Hazelton, BC. He has two sons to whom he hopes to pass on his talents. He has apprenticed under his brother, Heber Reece, for some time now. They continue to work together in their northern town of Terrace, BC.
